Hello Tutors!

Schedule Changes :Due to California state STAR testing, ONLY afterschool tutoring sessions (3:20 and 4:05pm) will be held, Monday. 5/12 and Wednesday, 5/14. NO Tutoring during the school day!

Memorial Day : Monday, May 26th is a school holiday, and there will be no tutoring on this day.

Last Day of Tutoring: The last day of tutoring for the 2007-2008 school year is Wednesday, May 28th. As the end of the year approaches, some tutors like to give their students a small gift. Please remember that gift giving is ok as log as the gift is a book. Please talk with me if you plan on giving your student a gift!

One-Day Volunteer Opportunity : YES Reading received a very generous grant from the San Jose Mercury News Wishbook Fund to give students educational literacy games as an end of the year congratulatory gift. We will be wrapping all 500 of these games on Friday, May 30th, from 3:30-6:30pm, at Montague Elementary School in Santa Clara, and we could definitely use help. If you would like to help with this project please let me know!

Student's Year End Celebration: We will be hosting a celebration for the students, in recognition of their hard work and achievement this 2007-2008 school year. You are invited to attend this event on Wednesday, June 4th, from 3:30-4:30pm. Please let me know if you are able to attend.
