Nora's Nook - Castro Announcements

Hello Tutors!

Here are a few brief announcements:

Testing Dates: Due to California state STAR testing, our schedule will be slightly disrupted from May 5th-May 9th. Here are the changes:

May 5th - May 9th: There will be no sessions for 2nd, 3rd. 4th and 5th Grades in the morning. All classes will be available for tutoring if their regularly scheduled session is 1:15 or after, except room 1 and room 24, who will not be available until after school.

Please note that First Graders will not be testing and therefore will be available at all times. If your student is not available and you would like to tutor a First Grader, that would be very helpful. Please let me know when you will be coming.

May Dates:
Monday May 5th: Field trip for rooms 2,3,4,6 and 9 8:30a.m. to noon. This trip has been canceled for 1st graders.
Villa Montalvo Performing Arts Center

Wednesday May 14: Field trips (This field trip is subject to change) Rooms 8, 15 and 24 Lawrence Hall of Science 8:15 - 3:00.
Room 34 to Coyote Point in San Mateo. 11:00 - 2:30.
Rooms 10, 11 and 14 CTC Sunnyvale 10:00 - 12:30.

Wednesday May 21: Field trip Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad, Felton Room 17 7:30-4:00 p.m.

Thursday May 22: Field trip Room 10 Hidden Villa 9:00 a.m. overnight trip returning next day at 9:00 a.m.

Memorial Day : Monday, May 26th and Tuesday, May 27th are school holidays and there will be no tutoring on these days.
Volunteer Breakfast: There is a volunteer breakfast here at Castro on May 30th, and you are all cordially invited.

Student's Year End Celebration: We will be hosting a celebration for the students, in recognition of their hard work and achievement this 2007-2008 school year. You are invited to attend this event on Monday, June 2nd, from 5-6pm in the cafeteria. Please let me know if you are able to attend.

Last Day of Tutoring: The last day of tutoring for the 2007-2008 school year is Thursday, June 5th.
