Hello Tutors!
Tutoring is back in session! We’re starting to get more tutors volunteering at EPACS but we do need more as there is a number of students who have yet to start. So if you know of anyone who’d be interested, please spread the word! They can get in touch with Jason Overman, our volunteer coordinator at jason@yesreading.org or (408) 945-5720.
February Holiday: School is closed February 18th for the Presidents day holiday and there will be no tutoring that day
Children's Week: We are celebrating Children's Week February 25th-27th. This is a traditional holiday in Mexico, where all children are honored. We will be celebrating this special week by inviting the parents of our students to attend their child's tutoring session, and see what wonderful activities we do at YES Reading. .
Tutor Literacy Training! The first one at EPACS will be on Wed., Feb. 29th at 5:30pm in the school library. We will be talking about Oral Reading Strategies. I encourage you all to come but please RSVP via email or tell me in person! For future trainings, there will be a sign-up binder available.
