Amanda's Corner - Montague Announcements

Hello Tutors!

Here are a few brief announcements:

• ID Badges: You have either received or will shortly receive your YES Reading ID picture badge. Please wear it anytime you are on the Montague campus. There is a box in the office by the sign-in binder where you can store your badge when you leave campus.
• I have put together a binder listing all of the new tutor trainings with sign-up sheets, and have placed it by the door. If you are able to attend a training, you can either sign in there, or tell me directly.

With the Holiday Season just around the corner, I wanted to let you know our schedule:

• November 12: Veteran's Day, School Holiday, no tutoring
• November 21-23: Thanksgiving Holiday - No tutoring; tutoring resumes November 26th
• December 17-January 4: Winter Holiday, no tutoring. The last day of tutoring for the year is Wednesday, December 12. Tutoring Resumes Monday, January 7th.

Here is the list of trainings coming up this month. Please let me know if you are able to attend any of these.

• November 2: Working with English Language Learner Training, 1-3pm, Castro Elementary, Mountain View
• November 16 : Oral Reading Strategies Training, 1-3pm, Montague Elementary, Santa Clara
• November 28: Multiple Learning Styles Training, 5:30-7:30pm, College Park School, San Mateo
