Hello Tutors!
I would like to extend a hearty welcome to all of our new tutors at East Palo Alto Charter School! I have a great group of students eager to begin their special reading time with you. I also look forward to working with you this year, and making a great difference is the lives of our students!
Here are a few announcements I would like to share with you:
First Day of Tutoring: Wednesday, Dec. 5th will be our first day of tutoring for 2007!
Last Day of Tutoring for 2007: Monday, Dec. 17th will be our last day of tutoring for 2007. Tutoring will resume again on Wednesday, January 16th 2008.
January Holidays : There is no tutoring Monday, January 21st, due to the Martin Luther King holiday.
Holiday Gifts: At this time of the year, we know that some tutors enjoy getting a small gift for their students. If you choose to do this, we ask that the gift be a book. We have established this policy this year in order to create a fair system for all of our YES Reading students.
Tutor Trainings : Here is a list of all of the Trainings in December. Please sign up in the binder, or let me know if you are able to attend one of these events.
Friday, 12/7 1-3pm, Oral Reading Strategies, Oakland, Berkely Maynard Academy
Monday, 12/10 5:30-7:30pm, Multiple Learning Styles, San Jose, Horace Mann
